Ger-day from Goulburn, NSW, Australia, I am inspired by your raised garden bed video. I bought a house about 2 years ago and i am converting it into a sustainable house. I just got solar panels, getting a 14,100L rainwater tank next week and once this is in i am going to go nuts and make lots of raised garden beds and grow vegis. Thanks so much for posting this video...i am sure i will manage to build raised beds after seeing your handywork i reckon i could do it. Have a great time out in the garden. PS - your dogs are great! Cheers Gill.

I have to build one in the only sunny place in my backyard which is on a fairly steep incline. Have you ever done this? Does this mean I should dig into the hill and level it out?

This is outstanding! My husband and I are like the 2009 version of Green Acres. I grew up in the country but didn't learn anything from the experience, and he's from Milwaukee. We now live on 23 acres in an old, funky farmhouse, and this is the kind of information we can really use. I'd also like to see vids on creating a grape arbor; economically creating and maintaining some trails in our woods; getting rid of small trees and stumps in a safe and nontoxic way (we cut them down, but they grow back the following season); building trellises, gates and other items from found wood; and eradicating a multiflora rose that has managed to invade the space of a favorite flowering shrub--we can't get to the roots because the rose is literally growing in the same space as the shrub, and every time we try to cut the invader back, it grows back bigger and stronger than ever before. Anyway, thanks--I'll be back.

Awesome video! Great humor, puts the beginning gardener at ease... but also straightforward, informative and to the point. So many "how-to" sites are all uptight about leveling the soil and putting down weed mat and building in-ground critter-poof fencing... it's enough to put us beginners off the project! Your video was just what I needed. Thanks!

Hi there, That was good man straight and simple. I can't believe stores like Lee valley charging a bunch of dollars for the corner alone. Full score for the prompting lady voice with a sense of humor. I love your dogs too they are cute.
