Good morning, everyone. Crazy Fish Farmer here. I just want to apologize for everybody for not getting back to this windmill project that I've been working on. The weather has gotten pretty nice and it’s time to get the work on it and of course I've been thinking about it a lot in just trying to come up with different ideas to build something out of junk and that’s basically what I'm going to do is try to recycle as much stuff as possible to build this windmill.
So what I've decided to do, I have a couple of junk bikes right here that you're looking at so I've decided to use the treadmill parts, the motor for the generating energy. The bicycle parts for different bearings and stuff that I need for building a windmill and what I was looking for is a larger pulley and I had a hard time finding one. Some of them on washing machine and stuff like that and this wouldn’t quite what I was looking for and then I realized that the front tire or the back tire of this bike could be used as a pulley.
So what I've decided to do is to build a windmill that kind of old style. If you look at some of the antique windmills out there they're basically have a round disk from the back part of it and then attached all the films to it and it’ll sketch the other something kind of explain where I'm going with this.
But I've decided to use the front and back wheels of the larger bike that you're seeing there. One of the two, I don’t know which yet for the fins and then the rim itself will actually become the pulley. And I'm not quite sure how I'm going to do it if it’s going to be some kind of belt, I'm not sure where it’s going. But that’s kind of what I'm thinking. So I'm going to use a wheel as the pulley and the wheel also for the fins to generate the power from the wind.
Building it in an old style, old fashion typed windmills something kind of small. Like I said the ultimate goal here is to recycle stuff and I have quite a few old bikes lying around here because I had two boys and they kind of outgrew stuff and it just kind of collected, so here we go. And that’s what we’re going to do and like I said I’ll sketch together some ideas to kind of show everybody where I'm going to go with this and you know get some input and hopefully build something that’s going to be usable and it is best to mingle here and to build it out off scrap. Well, that’s it for now and we’ll see you in the next one. Take care.
