When Matt and Irene said yes the crash was on.
They thought Ahmed was coming home with them to help them fix the drainage issue and in a way he is. But, Ahmed’s way to fix their saggy line is to create a whole new backyard with a curved decompose granite patio.
Alright guys, so now it’s time to put in this border. So, we’re going to use this synthetic wood material simply because it’s going to last a whole lot longer than lumber wood. I’ve also got synthetic sticks that match it. Our border is going to hang up in the air over here. If we have and leave this leftover material, I think there might be another six feet left over well done that I ordered. We’ll put a second layer down here just to contain the gravel from going in here.
The homeowners are a few steps away from a great new patio.
You know I got a vibro plate in the front yard.
You know vibro plate, big heavy machineries save Matt from doing this but this was good because Matt you’re showing our viewer that when you could compact this area here. It’s nice and compact and that way we have a sturdy patio to walk on but when you have a large project, a big vibro plate, big, heavy piece of machinery that will help compact this works a lot better right, would you agree?
A few passes of the vibro plate and the new DG is compacted into a rock card surface, strong enough to function as a patio but poor enough to allow water to pass right through the best of both worlds. Ahmed ordered enough decomposed granite to fill this patio to about 5 inches which is just about what they need to finish this job.
I think we have enough. We might be able to use one more but wait.
Now this is how you suppose to enjoy your yard.
Yesterday morning Matt and Irene woke up to a swampy wet grass area in their backyard. A little over 24 hours later they have a nice new dry decomposed granite patio.
