Excellent! This is the most practical and useful video on soloing that I have seen! You take what can be an intimidating subject and make it clear. I think it is great that you posted this and I hope you keep em' coming. bill

How to Build a Drum Solo

Rock Beat Dynamics Drum Lesson Beau: Good day my name my name is Beau Thomas, I’m going to show you today just one really simple idea of how to get solo’s going, how to string some ideas to create your own solo. So this idea is very simple. You need three grooves but choppy filly things, whatever. Three ideas you write them down on a piece of paper, I’ve prepare one earlier and there it is. Can you see it there? Male: Why do I see four? Beau: Ah I’ve repeated the first idea at the end and you could take that away. Male: Are you sure? Beau: So I had three ideas George on the Jungle, Cowbell beat with my secret Cowbell beat and Jazz Toms and then I’m repeating George Jungle at the end because I like it so much and this is a great way to start getting around solo’s and bringing them together, just string your ideas together and getting a flow of the solo. So I’ll demonstrate this to you. What I can play that because you have. So have the solo. So yeah I hope you enjoyed that idea. You make this simple or as complicated as you like and yeah have fun with it. I’ll see you for another lesson soon.
