How often should I be exercising and what type of exercise should I be doing? Well, that very much depends on your goals and we can certainly assist you in individualizing that approach. In the ideal world, aerobic exercise, exercise that uses the large muscles of your body, gets your heart rates and blood pressure off, begin an appropriate range, increases your breathing such as walking, biking, swimming or some other exercise of choice is ideally suggested three to five times per week.
You are going to do that more frequently if your goal is weight loss but for good blood sugar control, at least three to five times per week. Strength training as a component which may be weight training or core training or using your body rate in someway for example, push ups, lounges, squatting, just using your own body weight, is suggested at least twice a week.
And flexibility as a component should also be a part of your ideal exercise plan that may be in the form of stretching, yoga for example, all good examples of various exercise components, make it fun.
