How to Build iPhone Apps
Yapper is a self-service online tool that allows you to make your own native iPhone, Android, iPod apps. Just in few minutes, using your existing RSS feeds and we provide with the tab icons and everything else. So without further ado, we’ll do a live demo if Wi-Fi is working.
So you log-in to Yapper.setmenu.com, you sign in and you say start a new app. So, if you scroll down the screen please. So here we have, so there are four steps. The first step is really we show you a demo of what needs to be done. So in the first box, you’ll put in your RSS for your website or the blog. Then you say what is the name of this RSS feed, here we say, it’s one to beat. Then you select the tab icon, and then it becomes your tab icon. So as you do this, you can see what's getting build right on the screen on your right hand side.
It gives you, this is not the real app but it gives you what it’s going to look like in your iPhone. So here, we will add one more feed and see what happens. So, we’re going to add the mobile beat RSS feed and at this just going to type that in. See what happens on the right hand side of the iPhone and then she’s going to select the tab icon. Here’s your mobile RSS feed and Matt is that the latest articles that you held on the site?
So this is live guys, we are not doing it from the laptop. This is from the internet that going to the Venture beat site, getting the live feed and then getting all the empowered content along with the images for you. And then you can add up to 12 search feeds or 12 sections within your app. So, if you have more than few feeds, you can keep adding those and then you go to the next page. So you can see its getting refreshed as Abhi clicks on the icons. You go to the next page.
This is where you put in the name of your application that’s how it will be known in the app store. Then you select an app icon, so if you click on the browse please and you go to Venture beat folder. And then select the home icon, so this is you’re typically your logo and if you like a lounge image or splash image. So when you’re application longitude, its shows you your branded logo for couple of seconds. So we pick that, put that in and you're done building the app, believe it or not.
The next step, that’s step number three is really all about how you want to describe an application within the app store, so user can you read about it. You can say what kind of keyword they can search your app by. What countries you want to list your app in, what are the primary and secondary categories within reach your app would be listed. So you do that and then you go to the next page.
This is my favorite step of course; this is what I get paid. So for Mac, well its special we have in $99.00 special rate. You can make it on iPhone app for just $99.00 instead of regular $499.00. And then you can add options, you can have an Android version. You can have an iPod version or when iPod would be launch, we’ll make the app compatible with the iPods. So user experience is customized for the iPhone, iPod. And we are the first ones to really have a push notification option. So if you have a breaking story as a blogger or a new site and you want to push that out of your user.
User is not using your app or you can push a notification to them saying, hey we have an exclusive story on our blog, come and read it. So you can have that option here too. And then finally, if you like some custom development, above beyond the standard features we offer, we will do that for you. In this, you're pretty much done. And you go to next page and pay with the PayPal.
