Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder. And welcome to your Butterscotch.com tutorial on how to install programs quickly and easily with Ninite. Most of us have programs that are favorites, that we install on every new computer we get or if we upgraded a computer and do a clean install, we find ourselves installing them again. Perhaps, Firefox or Chrome, programs like Skype and Pigeon, maybe Thunderbird or Googletalk, Yahoo. Ninite lets you pick the software that you use most. Go through and check it of, Irfan View, GIMP, Open Office, and when you’ve completed, uTorrent, DropBox, you can see there’s a huge selection here. WinRar, Filezilla, then you take and click get installer.
And what it does is it packages up, packaged specifically for you that include all of the programs that you wanted. It only installs the default settings. It checks to see if you have 64 bit support so that you get the most current version of the program and it never accepts offers for toolbars and other things so you get a nice clean install that you can just double click on the file that you’ve downloaded and it will go through and install all of the programs you picked with the default settings, no junk, no muss, no fuss. Extremely handy. So this is a way to install some of your favorite programs quickly and easily with Ninite and that’s all there is to it.
