More than half of everyone who will buy a computer this year will do absolutely no research before making the purchase. That means, we can safely say that half of everybody that buys computers this year will make the wrong decision.
Hi, this is Gareth from Tech-Bites and thank you for watching this video today on how to buy a computer. For many years, I have been helping my family members, my friends, my friend’s friends and my friend’s, friend’s friends. Buy computers, online or off, that suit their particular needs.
So most of the questions I get are, should I buy a Mac, or should I buy a PC? How much RAM do I need and what is a hard drive? And then, they do in buying the computer as important, if not more important than buying a car, it can then be considered extremely important that we make the right choice. For instance, you would not walk right into a car sales lot and buy the first car that the salesman recommends to you. Not if you are wise, you will take it out what kind of car you need beforehand so that you can walk on to the lot and negotiate with the salesperson to buy the exact car that you want for the best price possible.
And people would have made poor decisions on buying cars, now, just how devastating it can be to buy the wrong machine for your needs. And after answering this question, for many years, I discovered that there are basically four different types of users. There are home users who have just very basic needs. There are home office users who need their computers for business as well. Multimedia users, which make up most of the population today, and media creator users like me, who create content for the web or otherwise.
Well, it turns out that most people fall on to one of those four categories. So, if you can figure out which one you are, I can probably recommend the computer to you that you need that will suit you perfectly. And that is what I have done. I have taken the advice that I give to people year after year after year. And I have compiled it into one video presentation with four companion guides and information, everything that you need to make the best decision when buying a computer this year. I will take the time and the knowledge that I have earned over years, making my own computers and making purchases for people who need computers, and put it all in just an hour long presentation that you can benefit from.

Because honestly, of all the salespeople I have talked to, none of them agree. And you just cannot trust them anymore than you can trust your car salesmen to make the right decision for you.
