Here at Mickey’s hook up we have a few different kinds of routers and a few different kinds of configurations for you. It all depends on what you are setting up for a home or an office. Most of the people that have come in here were setting up for a home and just to keep it so that it is inexpensive and basic for them we offer two kinds of routers, one by dealing and one by links. What is great about those is that they come with a set of disk, they are pretty easy use and have good easy connections for about $60.
The other options for say if you have an office and you need to set up print server or you are setting up with multiple machines across a huge room. Then you are going to need things like a switch and then more routers, and that is also something we do and then print servers are another thing to sell.
Having the best options that we sell and the kind of things that we as Mac uses ourselves really like use are the airports, specifically the airport express and the airport extreme. We found the best solutions we can find and they are extremely easy to use, they are more expensive, the airport express runs about a $100, the airport extreme runs $179. But once you get out of it, there is an incredible ways of use with the airport express, you can add a printer, you can send your music wireless to the stereo directly from the airport express and it is pretty small. So you can just pop it in and as long as everybody in the house has a wireless card will do great.
What is great about the airport extreme is that it supports upto 50 wireless users, you can plug in three wire connections and not only set up a wireless printer but you can also set up hard drives. So if you want to have sort of a network drive the airport extreme is for you.
