HI! My name is Van, and I am going to be reviewing the Norelco Spectra 8894 XL Electric Shaver.
I have had the Spectra for almost a year now and I have to say that it is the best electric razor that I have ever used in. I have used electric razors in the past several years ago but I found that they just do not give me a close shave so I switched over to the regular Mac3 razors and then when I saw this one in the internet, it had good reviews as far as closeness to the shave and not causing irritation. I figured, I have try it out. The price tag is kind of high. It is around $175.00 but since I purchased it, I have decided to stick with it and not go back to the traditional razors.
It does provide a very close shave. It does work better if you use it on a daily basis because when your hairs get a little bit longer, it does struggle through it a little bit. Some of the features that make it unique is it has a little sensitivity adjustment on the side and when you put it more towards the sensitive side, it is better for the neck area and it does not cause much irritation. It does take a little bit longer to shave but it worth it for the comfort. It also has a LCD when you turn it on that shows you the exact number of minutes left in your shaver before the battery runs out. And it comes with a carrying case as well as a little holder to put it on as well as the charging it after, which plugs directly into the wall and recharges for a couple of hours. The only thing is that right now, after a year, I feel that it is not giving as good of a shave. Probably, I need to replace the razor heads and those too are pretty expensive. They run around $30.00 to $40.00 for the set of three but they should last you a year.
So, I recommend the Spectra 8894 XL for anyone looking to switch to electric shaving
