I’m Holly Friedlan, program director of the Midatlantic Reptile Show, and this is how to care for
a Bearded Dragon. We’re going to talk about what you’re going to need, how to set up the
enclosure, how to handle the Bearded Dragon, choosing your Bearded Dragon, feeding your
Bearded Dragon, and how to deal with problems. We’re going to need several tools, but we’ll
talk about that when we set up the enclosure. Anything with a mouth can bite, so you have to
always be careful when you’re dealing with wild animals. Also, all reptiles can carry salmonella,
you should always wash your hands after you handle any reptile. And if you can't wash your
hands, you should use antibacterial gel and then wash your hand when you get a chance. I’ve
been with the Midatlantic Reptile Show for 13 years and I’ve ran the marsh reptile and
amphibian rescue, I’ve been doing that for about 10 years. So let’s get started, first we’re going
to talk about how to choose if a Bearded Dragon is the right pet for you.
