Your puppy's nail have a blood vessel called the quick and it runs down the middle of the nail. If you cut the puppy's nail too short, you can cut the quick, then cause your puppy's paw to bleed. In order to stop your puppy's paw from bleeding, apply a safety pin to the nail that you cut too short. If you do not have a safety pin, use a combination of baking soda and water or water and flower and apply to the affected area to stop bleeding.
Ears. Some puppies get build up of wax and hair in their ears, which needs to be cleaned out to prevent infection.
Spay and neutering. There are many good reasons to spay or neuter your pet. It prevents prostate or testicular cancer in male dogs. It prevents Pyometra, a serious and potentially fatal infection of the uterus. It greatly reduces the rate of breast cancer.
