Ahmed Hassan: Hey! I’m Ahmed Hassan. I’m here to encourage all of you to carve
some pumpkins this year. And I’m talking have some fun with it
and you could always flat your steak knife and get out there to do
some carving. But how about using a drill? Power is a wonderful
way to play with this beautiful orange fleshy squash. It’s a whole
lot more fun and hey who doesn’t like working with power tool,
you know? House will have a few spatulas bit; I have some coring
bits at home. All you wan to do with this spatula video is taking
into your pumpkin, all hold up here steady. And this soccer is cool
and let me see.
So, when you’re done with this and you put all this different holes
in it and it will look something like this guy here. Could the
artisans out there, you can do what I did here and I just took a little
tinsel here so tinsel all of that so like the one in horrible engrave
that into it. So to do that I’m going to use this little here, what I’m
just going to do here with this grinding wheel is just outline the
shape of my butt. And next I’m going to use this little router right
here, and this little router is going to help to actually remove the
flesh inside the lines. Oh look at that. Grinds it away, right away
only going in about a quarter inch and then once you get all this
flesh here in the way you can just take a look a toothbrush and then
brush away all of that pumpkin.
To show you what I got going here, this is what will going for,
look at that. Sometimes I used flashlight sometimes you can used
candles to power up and light up what you’re going to see in there
in the front or our back. Now, of course you’re to think will yes,
this is the traditional Jack a Lantern in it. Pretty much here I mean
they have the basic look than the normal Jack a Lantern only this
on of course who is you guess it our tools. Alright, got a nice little
jig saw here. Now, jig saw is a great tool for carving out in doing
shape. Now when its start to wiggle and shake a little bit then you
take and get all the sticks now still so you see this tools still comes
in handy. Pop this one out, so look at that in two minutes we got a
rise in another minute you got the notes and spend your time
coming up with cool creative design and let the tools do this little
work for you. You still going to need for some power, don’t worry
you can just get up the biggest pumpkin you can get and get its up
a nice battery operator reciprocating tool and have town man.
