Adidas presents How I Do It with Josh Bard Josh Bard Catcher, Boston Red Sox The pop-up foul, the way I do a pop-up foul is basically I want to explode out of the box and give myself as quick of an opportunity to find the ball. The toughest thing about catching a pop up is if your in Yankee Stadium and there’s 50,000 people it gets a little bit loud to so you got to make sure that you stay relaxed, keep your feet moving and then I always try to turn my back to the playing field because I know that ball is going to come back. I think the other thing that’s important is you never give up even if that ball feels like it’s going to be in the 10th row, you never know it could come back and you got to make sure that you are ready to catch it and then once you catch the ball try to secure it above your head.
