Hey biters, you want to see under my hood. You may if you know I can save your 10% on your gas mileage.
So today lets change an Air Filter. To get the most out of your gas you should switch out your air filter every 10,000-15,000 miles. There are two types of filters, on old pre-1990 cars you will find the filter on the top of the motor and its shape like an extra large pie.
On a post 1990 ride like this one, the filter is locate to the right of the motor. And to replace a filter all I have to do is first is unclamp the filter hose, which is this box right here, then we take out this filter, it's dirty filter and I have to get rid of that, because unfortunately it's not recyclable.
And I am going to take a nice white rag, and get it dirty by getting rid of all the bugs and soot in the filter hose.
Next I am going to take my nice new filter and stick it in replace the hose, reclamp and then I am good to go for other 10-15k miles.
If you spend 50 bucks a meter on gas, I means you can save 250 bucks a year just by changing your air filter regularly which means you might just be able to out of your car. Happy biting.
