Welcome to another Rockstar Guide Books video. This video is how to change your desktop background or your wallpaper. And yes, this is a picture of me. I am MJ Schrader. Now the question is how do we change our desktop background? As you can see I have this beautiful autumn scene, but I want to get ready for Halloween. You can see my icons over here, but it doesn’t matter where I click. All I have to do is right click somewhere in the screen and this window will pop up. We want properties, switch this properties and we have display property show up. From here we can choose things, desktops, screensaver, appearance or settings. We want desktop and there you go you can see the current wallpaper that I have right now.
And right here, I have a selection of different wallpapers that I can choose from. In which case, I want one that I have just uploaded. So I’m going to choose browse, because I have got the nice Halloween ones that you can get from my website right now. Go to browse and then I know where it is so I’m going to go exactly to that file. And here it is, make certain you know where you have uploaded your wallpaper too. And in this case, I know. Here is a wide screen version of one of the Halloween papers I’ve got. This is the square screen for big screen and this is the square screen for small one.
So we’re just going to look and save because I don’t know which size that I want to use, or you may not know which size, I know which size. But anyway, this is the widescreen version. I can choose from center, in which case I see part of the Halloween is cut off, I don’t like that. I choose tile, I don’t like that because then part of it gets cut off again. Or I could choose stretch, and I don’t like that because it’s kind of scrounged up.
So let me choose a different size to see if this size will work better. In which case, I’m going to choose the small size. I choose open, there it is it looks nice like that, I can choose Center, and I see that there’s a background right here, I could choose Tile and there’s multiple images but I don’t really like the way that looks. We will go back to Center, just because I want to talk about that one, and Stretch worked out really well. You could do to Stretch real nice on this.
You go with center, let’s go with center and you see this light gray background, if you wanted to change the color of the background, all you do is select color right here. You can choose black or one of these colors or choose other in custom, pick out a color. In this case I just want to go with black. I choose black, it doesn’t change right here so I can’t tell what it looks like. But all I have to do to find out what it looks like is press apply, and as you can see. And there it is with the black background, you can see that right there. But you know what, now that it’s blown up, I don’t really like it so I go back and I choose stretch. There it is, and again I press apply, and there it is and I like that. So that’s where I’m going to leave it. And that’s how you change your desktop wallpaper.
