Hey everybody and welcome to another HD tutorial and in this one I’ll be showing you how to reverse or change the speed of a video in Camtasia Studio 6. So, first thing I’m going to do is I’ll just open Camtasia Studio 6 and I will get a video on how to get—information so stay tuned. This is how to reverse or change the speed of such video, anything that you want, maybe in this video in Camtasia Studio 6. So, it’s like—and once you have imported your project here, we’re going to up to the add tab and the import media. And import, you actually import what you want to be fast, speed-up, slow-down, reverse or whatever you want.
So, I’ll go ahead and I’ll just take that intro video that I have and if you drag on the file, this will work like of number of different file types. All you want to do is drag on click by dragging on the timeline, and they’ll ask me the editing dimensions, you can choose whatever you want, it will work with whatever editing dimensions you want. I’ll choose the 720 and then once you’ve done this ,we’re just going to select that right key frames selected right here and drag it and highlight the entire phrase that we want to change the—and we’re going to right click it at quick and select Clip Speed. And this is where the Clip Speed comes in. You can change it to 200% of the original speed clip which is you can guess or it show you the new clip duration to half a time, and it play obviously twice its speed. You can also go to rather 800% if you want and the last one second, that can be unrealistic, you might not be able to hear yourself.
Another thing you could do, is actually set it to negative 100% which will play your video backwards. Okay! So, if you set it to 100 okay at regular speed and that was it, so if you want to set to the 10%, 20%, 100% that’s normally can do that and I’m just going to do with this video just to see guys, see that’s what it sounds like. When you’ve done it, let’s say I want to set to 150% of the original clip speed here, okay and they’ll let you know, then clip speed is only visible after the video has been produced. So, it’s not like some of the videos where you actually see the preview and where you see what you’ve really done in the preview window here and it goes and now that I face that I can right click and do whatever else, whatever other editing I need to do and simply hit produced video, and you’ll go for your whole producing set and the video will be produced in that speed.
So, thanks for watching this video tutorial. I hope it was helpful to any of you who are willing or wanted to change the video speed of your video. So, thanks for watching this one.
