Today we're talking about preventing child falls and giving your toddler the independence they want. It's the KidSwitch light switch extension. Let's get started.
Alright, now we've already done our first step which was to turn the electricity off.
Next, you need to get a piece of tape so that you can put it over your existing switch. This will help to hold your plate in place while you're unscrewing. Now I've used blue painter's tape but you could use masking tape. Just be careful not to press it down really hard.
Next, get a flathead screwdriver and back out the existing screws in the wall plate. The KidSwitch comes with its own screws so you won't need these any more.
Now, you'll just put the KidSwitch on and attach it using a Phillips-head screwdriver and the screws that came with the switch. While you're mounting be sure that the man in the moon is facing the right. That way the grooves will be sure to align up and the KidSwitch will work properly.
After you've got those tightened down, simply remove your tape and your KidSwitch is ready for use.
