How to Childproof Your Home

Dr. Jim Sears: Kid-proofing your home is really important, but it's the kid's point of view is what really matters. I've got my two helpers here in my daughter Lea and my son Jedi and they're going to show you just what I mean. You're going to get tend to a kid's eye level. Make sure the cabinets have doors and they close securely and if you've little kids, that they are locked. Jedi: Look dad, this staple is out. Dr. Jim Sears: Ooh! That's sharp. That's why I suggest getting down and crawling around your living room just like your babies are going to do. Lea: Hey dad! Look there's no cover on this outlet. Dr. Jim Sears: Oh! Here we go. Do the honors. You always want to make sure that these outlets have wall plates as well as outlet covers, because you never know where those little finger is going to go. Good job team. Give me five!
