Hi! How are you doing? My name is Greg Slade. I'm the Manager here at 4 Wheel Parts, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. I'd like to take a few minutes of your time to discuss auxiliary lighting and choosing the right light for your vehicle and your vehicle's needs. There's lot of different lights out there available to you. I want to help you make sure you got the right light for your vehicle and your vehicle application.
So first you're going to want to decide, how am I going to use these lights? I'd like to start off by talking about one of our more popular lights which is going to be the driving light. This is generally a white beam, a white lens and this shoots a long range beam, generally a pencil style beam. So, it helps illuminate objects far down the road. So this is really good if you need to see long distances, again, not something I'll recommend shining in the oncoming traffic.
Our second light I'd like to discuss, also very popular option, is our driving light. This is generally called the driving light or a fog light, because most people illuminate this all the time in the evening. It's really not that intrusive to oncoming traffic. This kind of light is generally accompanied with a yellow lens or a yellow beam. And how this works is this light is a gradual spread-out beam that it gets up underneath the fog and it lifts it up to help illuminate the road right in front of you. These are great light just for all-purpose use. Again, it's not very intrusive into oncoming traffic. But it does its job and generally casts a nice yellow glow.
Now let's say, you need to light up the football field for PV Football. Now it's time to get into the big lights. Nine-inch round lights, these are great on a front light bar or maybe on overhead roof rack or a light bar. You put four of these suckers up there and I'm going to tell you, you can light up a football field. This is a great option if a lot of light is necessary. Maybe you need to light up a construction zone, or it props you game a pick-up football. Always a great option! These are very large lights and you want to put these in pairs of four or three or something like this. We generally sell these lights individually and people put multiples up on the roof or on the light bar.
The fourth and final light I'd like to discuss is a backup style flood light. And what this does is this is again a white light and it doesn't necessarily cast a pencil beam but it does still have that white light just like the spotlights. How this works is -- let's say you need a little light out of assistance hooking up your trailer or unloading your bed at night, this is a great option for rearward facing lights, again mounted on a roof rack or in your bumper or anywhere, anywhere really, located in the back of the truck. These do a great job because they cast a nice broad light across everything behind your truck. Again, it's not super, super intrusive, not something I'd shine in somebody's eyes while driving behind you. But this does really work nice for just flooding the area with light, hence the name, flood light. It's more of a spread-out light.
