I am a type 1 Diabetic, what type of exercise is best for me? Well the good news is there are a lot of options, and there is no one single type of exercise that is best for people with type 1 diabetes. The best type of exercise is the exercise that we do, so it is about finding what you like to do, what you are good at and what will keep you active and doing exercise on a regular basis.
The things we have to consider as a type 1 diabetic is how to adjust exercise around our blood sugars. Meaning; how to potentially increase the amount of carbohydrates we have to eat to keep our blood sugars balanced. And you also have the option of adjusting in to one dosage around exercise with the help of your health care team and the fit for D-team to balance blood sugars around exercise.
So, any type of exercise that you enjoyed doing is the best type of exercise for you.
