Hi, I’m Michelle Johnson, the Face Paint Lady of Painted Faces Ink.
We’re decorating birthday picture frames and so far, we’ve chosen a frame that we’d like to use. What we’re going to work on now are the art materials that you’d like t o offer to your guests. You need to consider the ages of the children who will be coming and the theme of the party of the birthday child. When you start to think about this information, you can also look around your home and begin to think if you have some craft materials that might already be on hand.
Based on their questions that you’ve asked of yourself and the answered you’d begin to make decisions. In front of me I have items like sequence, which of course I need to use hot glue or wet glue wit. Hot glue is really not the best idea when working with the children, so I would use tacky glue which you put very easily access of all in this small Dixie cup with a cue top so the kids can use it. Then I also chose sharpie markers. And the sharpie markers if you have a bunch of little girls in princess dresses it might not be the best idea, but the sharpie markers are going to go on top of the surface like this loss site which one of the frame types that we chose.
I have gotten some decals that are themed this happened to be bugs and this is something that’s pretty made and ready to go. You need to make the decision if you’d like to give the kids a bunch of pre made items or if you’d like to offer them the freedom of being more creative on their on their own. So that’s something to consider when you’re thinking of the art materials that you’d like to use.
Stickers are always a favorite and they adhere to just about any surface, so whether you choose a foam frame or a low site frame you really can ‘t go wrong with the stickers and they come in all the different themes that you find for birthday parties. So we’ve got our frame, we have things like feathers, beads, these are pre-made bugs, we’ve spoken about sharpies and ribbon. You can look around your home you’ll find lots of things that can be combined in the imaginations of children to decorate their birthday frames.
The next thing we’re going to do is set up your station so that it’s a fun art activity for the guest at your child’s birthday.
