How to Choose Paddles for Kayaking

Today I am here to talk to you about selecting the right paddle. Some of the categories that you are going to be choosing from are straight versus a bent shaft, play versus river running blades, mid sized, over sized and small blades length of the paddle and standard shaft versus a small shaft. In choosing a paddle there is a straight shaft where the entire shaft is straight and then there is a bent shaft where there are two bands in the paddle shafts where you grip and that's for ergonomics and comfort when you are paddling.

There are two types of blade designs one free style for play boarding, spending your day at the play park and the one river running shape for down river paddling. Paddles coming varying lengths, some are shorter for kids going up to longer paddles for taller adults and stronger paddlers.

Paddle shaft designs one is a small shaft and one is a standard shaft. Small shaft is for paddlers with smaller hands and then there is a standard shaft for the averaged, over sized hand size.
