Kevin Simms: How do you pick the right dentist? Who do know to go to, because there are so many people out there? You see like I came across here with Mr. Dr. Leonard Gordon? What did you do to become the super cosmetic dentist guy?
Dr. Leonard Gordon: Basically, it's experience.
Kevin Simms: Okay.
Dr. Leonard Gordon: I think when you have been in a business as long as I have, you’ve seen a lot and you a have to gift for manual dentistry to begin with.
Kevin Simms: So you love your job, because I know dentist have a very high suicide rate. Now, I think that’s a complete myth. I have friends that are becoming dentist and I know dentists for a long time. They are happy people. Is that true?
Dr. Leonard Gordon: I totally agree with you. I don’t know I am President of the Federation of the dental societies in Montréal. I know many, many dentists and I have heard of many dentists and I have never heard of any dentist this area having committed suicide. If we had a higher rate I would have certainly would have heard of that. I think we are happy.
Kevin Simms: I agree.
Dr. Leonard Gordon: I wish I am.
Kevin Simms: What's the difference between a cosmetic dentist as well as just a general practitioner dentist? What's the difference? What do they do? What can you do? You can probably do anything, they can do in advance summer course.
Dr. Leonard Gordon: Right. There is not specialty as of yet, just aesthetic dentist. It's a not a specialty like a root canal specialist or an orthodontist. It's more people who enjoy doing aesthetic dentistry that get that moniker. If you enjoy doing aesthetic dentistry, you can call yourself an aesthetic dentist.
