Christy Beal: Hello! My name is Christy Beal. I own Eclectic Nature Gift and Garden Center.
Today, we are talking about how to choose the perfect Christmas tree for your
holiday season. Now, we are going to talk about how to pick the right size of tree
for your home and also how to examine your Christmas tree.
When choosing a tree, don't forget about the height of your ceiling. You probably
going to put a topper on it, and so you will need to have clearance in order to do
that. Also, you will be cutting off a couple of inches from the bottom of the tree,
so it will allow it to take up water once it's in your stand. Keep in mind how wide
your tree can be, because you certainly don't want it to be too close to furniture or
any drafts or a fire.
The needles of the branches should be easily pliable and should not fall off when
shaken. The trunk should also be sappy especially when you cut a branch off. This
shows you that the tree has been freshly cut and will take up water and last
throughout the season. Coming up next, we are going to talk about the Christmas
tree stand.
