Hi! My name is Greg Slade. I am the Manager of 4WheelParts, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. I'd like to take a few minutes of your time to discuss leveling kits. Whether you want to fit a larger more aggressive tire, you want to move it better stance for your vehicle, or you need to get the front end backup to compensate for added aftermarket accessories, such as winch or winch bumper. We've got the leveling kit to get you covered.
There are many different types of leveling kit on the market, and I'd like to discuss a few of those kits with you today.
First, one of the more popular kits is a torsion key re-indexing lift. What this allows you to do is, it allows you to dilate exactly what you want for your lift, generally between zero and two-and-a-half inches or zero and three inches. Great thing about this kit, is this is powder coated for long life.
Now this is not to be confused with the torsion bar crank. This allows you to roll those torsion bars up without pre-loading them and affecting your ride in a negative manner. These are great kits and more of our more popular lines.
Another great feature in these torsion bar index key is, is this specific kit comes with a lower shock relocation bracket. So this allows you to install this kit and not have to go out and buy longer shocks.
The other kind of kit that I'd like to talk about, such as this polyurethane one offered by Daystar or this billet aluminum one offered by Pro Comp. What these are, this is a strut spacer, and how this works, is you take this; you bolt this up on top of your strut type suspension to achieve the desired lift. Whether it be polyurethane or the billet aluminum, both of these are great choice of this is the kind of suspension your truck is equipped with.
One of the great things about them, is this is going to allow you to lift your truck and still maintain your factory ride qualities, as well as your factory suspension geometry. So this also helps keeping your front end components alive and helps keep the alignment good.
The third and final option I like to discuss with you today, is a coil spring spacer. How this works is, you set this up on top of the coil spring and then reinsert it in the truck. It allows you to lift it based on how much spacer you put in on top of the spring. All three of these options are great; great options to put on your vehicle. One of the great features of this kits is, all three of these kits are guaranteed for the life of your vehicle.
