How to Choose and Excutive MBA Programme

If you are an older MBA applicant and have seven or more years work experience you may want to consider the executive MBA program. In general, the executive MBA program involves two years of weekend classes combined with the occasional week long session. They can do less class time because their students already know enough about management to zip through the fundamental MBA course work.

The executive MBA programs tend add more at the bigger function management issues and give just a general management degree with no concentrations and little to know electives. You are often put in a co-work group to the entire program. The advantage to this is that you develop strong relationships with the fellow students. However, disadvantage could be that it actually limits the number of contacts you will have.

The executive MBA program like other MBA programs don’t normally include internships and do not put the same emphasis or crew service that full time MBA program still. That can make it a little less attractive option for career changers.
