Male: Hi everybody glad to join us, we’re talking a little bit of picking the best self health care plan for your family. But I will relate a little story.
It hit really close to home, I had back pains not long ago. I said—all right, I’ll try to eat dinner. When I couldn’t sit down and eat dinner Dari said out emergency room if you can’t eat.

Male: As I turned out I had wacky pneumonia. Four hours about two hours I was been waiting $9,000.00 we eventually found that.
Female: $9,300.00 in change to be precise.
Male: So with that brings close to home the importance of picking the best health care plan for your family. Now in this particular video we’ll going to talk about and uninsured and where to find insurance if it is not offered by your company. In this particular one for the next three or four minutes, we’re talking about the generally the plans, the plans choices available for an employee.
Female: As a family of four, you’re going to pay an average even with the plan from your employer. You’re going to spend an extra about $2,400.00 per year.

Female: The insurance companies on the other hand are pushing us to the doctors and hospitals that they have promised the insurance company to keep their cost down. So you may not get to go where you want to go.
Male: Is it true that the like pregnant ladies with no complications like literally they throw them up to the door in three or four days?
Female: Three, four days would be a good one and used to be the next day. They call them drive by deliveries. They finally stop that because there so many complications.
Male: Before making any choices, you might want to make an assistance to review the past 12 months in terms of your needs. Your real significant other and certainly your kids needs, what do we need because that will be the certainly going to be some idea of a look in to in which you’re going to be needing in the coming year or for the next 12 months.
Female: Then you want to see what the plan might worth. How much you’re going to have to pay if you use that particular plan. The cost of doctors if you have a doctor outside of that plan that you want to stay with, a co-payments schedule, how that works.
Male: How about this one, your deductibles.
Female: Yeah.
Male: We’ve found out that one of our plans going back years ago. You have to practically we have 19 procedures because of the high deductible so be sure to check any deductible of any plan before you do it.
Female: And then if you have a chronic illness. You want to see what .is the lifetime limit on benefits is.
Male: Exactly right.
Female: Now if you’re in good health, you don’t need to buy a $500.00 deductible policy. You can get a much higher deductible which is going to lower your cost depending on how much you think you can come up with god forbid you need it too.
Male: And if you have kids with that discretion on national radio show. If you have one or more kids, where there is a special young kid. When they’re a frequent visits to the doctor and whatever and ever maybe the dentist be could be identified. You certainly want to check that you have low or no co-payments even I’ll arrange -no.
Because many plans certainly have something but you, want low co-payments for those frequent doctor visits. That falls off the jungle gym as said.
Female: Whether you’re giving a plan through your employer or you’re just someone that needs to shop your own plan. If you have doctors that you are particular fond of, find out if they subscribe to that particular plan. If they’re in that network because if not then you either have got to have to pay more out of pocket. Or you have to find another doctor in the network.
Male: Now 2 of the most popular choices in the lot of employer plans are HMO and PPO’s. HMOs health maintenance organizations and PPO is a preferred provider organization with an HMO generally speaking. You will use the doctors in that network. Doctors of hospitals that are called medical care for all services.
Female: Like it or lumped it.
Male: If you go out of network and some plans will allow you go out of network you’re going to pay you’re only allowed to go out of network for emergency your legs falling out of in an accident then you get to the nearest hospital. But HMOs we got the doctors we got the hospitals that’s it.
Female: Now in the PPO, you can still go out of network and they will allow you to go out of network. You’ll have to pay more for it but they will pick up some of the cost. So on our opinion if you’re given the choice for a HMO or PPO and you kind of got a couple of doctors that you really like. I’ll absolute PPO.
Male: One little of that some people is that it’s hard to find a doctor that you like or the doctors that you like in hospitals and like yourself. Go with the PPO if it makes the most sense. We’ll talk more about health plans HMO and PPO’s and some other stuff.
