You guys rock!!! Your video "how to clean wax off carpets" saved the day for me when I was removing a toliet. As you can imagine, I was caring the base down the stairs when I nearly slipped on a huge lump. It was as you know the toliet ring wax. Long story short, 2 steps on carpet with impeded wax. And your site literally was amazing, because after I rounded up the iron and paper it actually only took 5 minutes. The wax ended up on the paper and out of my carpet. Yes, I am human and no this is not a solicated response. I can not thank you enough for the help. Lastly, the first site I found wanted me to do nearly the same procedure, but I would have had to own a hot water vacuum extraction device. What home owner has access to that on wim. Thanks again! HomeServe 5 minute fix: Getting Wax Off Carpets At the time lighting your lounge with the soft romantic candle glow is a great idea but in the cold light to the morning those inevitable drips of wax on your carpet do not look so good. Not top fear here is HomeServe 5 minute fix for getting wax of your carpets. Step one, scrape off the excess. Plug your iron in some while within reach of the waxy patch. While you are waiting for it to warm, use a blunt knife just the back of your average cut, really one will do to scrape off as much excess waxes possible. Step two, iron. Now lay some brown paper or a paper towel over the remaining wax and iron over the top. Keep it moving slowly just as you would when ironing clothes and make sure you do not burn anything. The heat will cause the wax to melt and absorb into the paper. Keep ironing over a clean piece of paper or cloth until all the wax has been absorb. Job done. We hope you enjoyed this tip.
