I am here to talk to you about how to clean your fireplace.
When cleaning you should wear safety goggles and a dust or respirator mask. You may also wish to spread newspaper or large tarp in front of the fire place before cleaning to prevent staining rugs or carpeting.
You will need short chimney brushes or flue cleaners, like vacuum, broom, metal container with lead and a stiff bristle with brush. If you also have your chimney cleaned, really this sort of thing is best left to the professionals. It is important to do that first though, that way clean-up will only take place once.
Using your short chimney of flue brush, clean the flue with short but strong strokes, using the stiff bristle brush, scrub the outside of the dumper until it is build-up free. Remove ashes from the fireplace half-area and dumper and place them in a metal container
Vacuum the surrounding full-thoroughly, making sure to remove all flammable object as you go, just in case if anything happened there. Any soot which has settled or hardened on the fireplace glass or external decorative breaking can be removed with bleach and water or degreaser.
If you use your fireplace four times or more a year, you need it to clean at least once a year. If you do this, then you have a clean, safe fireplace all year around.
