How to Clip the Coat - Old English Sheepdog

Old English sheep dog are not a trimmed breed, so we can actually use our own ideas as to how we trim them. In my opinion they just want to look nice and even all over, not too short. We’ve all seen the old English with the number seven legs and not a pretty sight. So I’m going to do a nice clip of back but with a using of a long—using a blade that leaves the coat quite long. This is a 16-millimeter blade and we’re starting at the back of the neck, not too high up and go into the coat. Just stretch the skin out here so that it slides nicely through. This is where—if you haven’t dried your coat thoroughly, you are going to get lines and marks in the coat. Don’t take the clipper head to quickly, let the coat feed through the blade.
