Another drill we would like to use which keeps our players competitive and alert is a two-ball pass drill. Darren will start this and we will go through this half-speed just one time down and back to show you how it works. He is going to pass and as he is passing the ball he is back on the way to him so he has to learn to increase his reaction. Go.
We are alternating. We are trying to work on quickness, hand-eye coordination and teamwork. Now, let us try this at full speed. Typically, we have a player go down and back two times and then we rotate the position. We like to put him through this so that everybody goes to it at least one time. On the whistle.
[Whistle]
Go quick.

Work quick, work quick. Go back, go back the other way, go to the end of the line.
Now, let us pick up the pace a little bit. As soon as he releases the pass, you should be sending it back to him, do you understand? This is not a shooting drill. Work it quick. Make him work for it. Make him snap the ball. Let us work, work. Go back, snap it quick, make him work for it. Good.
