We going to take you in the passing fundamentals. We do a few basic things with this. I like to teach drills for passing out of triple threat again. It reinforces habits that we have been working on, from a triple threat position. We are going to have our players pass the ball, stepping forward with their right foot. Since we always want their pivot foot since we always want their pivot to be their left. And, I like players when they catch the ball to instead of catch it two hands, I like them to catch it with one hand directly behind the ball, to stop it and then bring the other ball or the other hand to the ball.
So from triple threat, first of all we will pass step forward with our right foot and we will always receive the ball with the target hand. Step, so we catch the ball behind. Let us go through that. Try that a little bit. We go on a whistle so we all do it together. Every one is on a triple threat. Those who are in the line, maybe in this side is going to give a target hand. So, we will hit the target. Step forward with your right foot.
Now part of this drill is for our players to learn to be able to hit the target, more often. So, they have to learn to focus on where they are passing to. We always want the ball to be received in the chest area. So, our target hands will always be here and we need to aim high. Just like when we have goals in life. Catch it and we go triple threat right away. That is where we go to triple threat right away.
