As we go to rebounding fundamentals, we teach a one two principle that makes it very simple for the players. First thing you do is you step toward the offensive player, make contact, second, you go to get the ball. We use a wheel motion to demonstrate this. Players will move in a clockwise or wheel motion around the lane. Shot goes up, they need to go get the rebound. White is on defense, red is on offense. Let us see how it looks. We will go five times. Go ahead and move.

Defense has one rebound. Ready and go again. Now, they also have to stand between their man in the basket. Good rebound. Defense has two. Move. Good. Defense has three. Move. Defense has four. And move one more time.
