Now, I always like to teach players in groups I think it is easier. It is easy to find out do needs a little bit of adjustment and correction. So we have already taken this team through the L form, now we are going to take a step further. I am going to have the players go to an L form, everybody go to L form.
Now I want you to do is go to what we call a shooting position your knees are bent you are ready and you are holding the ball and you are shooting elbow is always directly above your knees so you have a straight line, just drop your shooting arms straight down above your knee.
You should have a straight line there quick as distance between two points is always a straight line or the shooting position, this is called a triple threat position from here go ahead and shoot the ball, shoot, drop your arms go back and make an L, go to a shooting position. Look at your knee, is your elbow above your knee? Shoot the ball, drop your arms, go back to a shooting position or triple threat position. Shoot, one more time go back to a shooting position, shoot and relax.
I think this very important to take a whole team trough something like this, because fundamentally you are going to have players coming from all areas and doing all kinds of different thing with their shooting form. By putting them into this type of a situation, you are making uniform what needs to be done and if shooting mechanics are always perfect with their players they are going to be able to shoot much more successfully and have more confidents when they play.
