Male Speaker: Well, that was great. It's funny and that one, you got to some technique, but it was in a way that really seem to, I don't know if empower is the right word, but it was almost like both Dottie and Tiffani kind of learned something and went with it.
Female Speaker: Yeah it's something that Linda really believe in, how can we get to the technical part, do it more by questioning question and we believing that they know a lot and they have been involved in many other sports. So, through the questions getting them to actually realize they can figure this up, because we want them to own the knowledge. They are ones who are going to go out and play with it and in the future. How can I figure this out by myself. So, of course, guidance for me but with the base belief that I know they can figure this out.
Male Speaker: Is it difficult to be patient sometimes, because you have all this knowledge and you can see some ugly swings and some good swings or whatever? Is it okay to be that patient?
Female Speaker: Well, it is for me because that how can I help them best way possible knowing I am not the one who's going to be with them. So even if I know I can just fix something, say some stuff, I know it's not going to be inside this kid to be patient because everything ever seen makes this actually -- it seems to take longer but it's actually to go slow to go fast because they get it quicker, and you can see the confidence grows as well.
Male Speaker: In particular, it seems that when you model the behavior, that really allow them to see a whole bunch of stuff that you might not get just talking about it, is that happen a lot more at your work?
Female Speaker: Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
Female Speaker: For anybody to learn like that, the coach can set up an environment where the player needs to figure it out, I think, Dottie even said, "Gosh! I've to think a lot here." So they are actively involved in it. It's not like they are an empty vessel and you just dispense in information. That tells it's not the best coaching, you know it does happen out there.
Male Speaker: Right. Is there any danger in getting too much information?
Female Speaker: Well, absolutely.
Female Speaker: A very.
Female Speaker: Yeah.
Female Speaker: So, of course, seeing and what they wanted to learn is like, picking -- once again, there is one intention and to keep attention on that and all you can just do one piece at a time and figure out how can I set this up so that they feel that they figure it out.
Male Speaker: Right.
Female Speaker: Yeah, now, I mean, one of the things too is that Peter and I have a goal as coaches. I mean this is a Coach 54, fundamental of philosophy is that we coach not to be needed. What we hope is to empower or create environment where it's the player's kick, I mean, not depended on us all the time for all the information. Because ultimately as Peter said they are out there out in the golf course by themselves and got to perform, it's themselves for themselves.
Male Speaker: Okay. That's makes a lot of sense, okay.
