Hello Master Jake here with another tutorial, today I’m going to be going over batch files again and I’m going to be showing you how to compile your batch programs into executive—So the first step of this, you’re going to need a program called Batch to Exe Converter, and I’m going to go ahead and show you how to get this. Just open up your web browser, I’m going to use Firefox. I’m currently at Google, in this box right here just search “batch to exe converter”, Google search. Let’s go over here, Download.com is the first one on the list, I’m going to go ahead and click this one. And if I’m right, it should be version 1.3.3 that they will have on here. It’s being kind of slow right now but I have a slow connection, currently using wireless.
You can see batch to EXE converter 1.3.3, you can download it here. It’s not very big, its very small. It’s rated four out of five, this is the operating systems that are run on. Really good program and once you download it, I think it’s a zip file, you can extract it. And here’s mine right here now, I made a batch file to test this on. Go over here, I made this batch file called Infravision version 1.0. And basically what this is a program that allows beginners to show and hide system files on the computer, and it’s really simple coding. If you really want to need any help on stuff like that just ask me, it’s pretty simple, really easy to do.
I’m going to go ahead and show you what the problem with this is. At the beginning it’s asking you for a password because I want it protected—well people might not know the password but if they really did want to know it, all they would have to do is right click and go to edit and they could try the decoding, see right here. I have it as a variable so it’s right here, that is the password, and anybody could figure that out. And I don’t want everybody who has this program to be able to get in because it’s a safety issues, I already have a disclaimer on there that if you do get in, there’s a disclaimer that tells you that I’m not responsible for anything you do with it, and you can type continue or exit. But as you can see that could be a problem and it could be within your—and you might need to compile them into executables so no one can view the code, or compile them into executables just because you want to.
So all you go to do here—put that on my desktop, go ahead and open up your batch to EXE converter and this screen will pop up right here. Now under batch file, that is the batch file that you want to compile. So, you click these three dots here, this is a browse button on the batch file, and you look for it and I have one in my desktop right now. So I double click it and it will put it in there. Once you get the batch file in it, it automatically change the “save as” type, you can change that if you want, but I usually just leave the same, it just gives the same name with the new extension of EXE. Under “include” if you want to include any batch files in there with it or anything else.
You browse that icon file, if you have an icon you want to give your new program then you browse for that. And down here is additional information, click this checkbox you can give it a file version, program version, company description, copyright, but I’m not going to do any of that. And down here, console application or ghost application, I’m not really sure what these are. I haven’t really looked them up, I always use console application because it’s the default and it’s I think ghost application like in this one something about, really want to test it because I really don’t care.
Once you’re done, click compile and I can hide my program and you’ll notice that your new file is wherever you got the batch file which is on my desktop. So here’s the batch file, right click to editable you can anything in it. Here’s the executable, right click—you can’t do anything to it, it’s completely protected and compiled into an executable program. But you’ll notice it is still works and now people won’t know the password, and that’s just an example of it.
So now that you know how to compile your stuff, you can make a lot better and more professional batch files and them compile them into executables so people wont’ know. And you’ll notice that my program here has the default program icon because I did not specify one, but it doesn’t really matter. If you want to make it look professional then go on the internet, download some icons, put on there, preferably something has to do with your program like Infravision, sounds kind of like a program that has to do with your eye or something, so I’m going to get an eye as icon or something, I don’t know.
So I hope this video was helpful to you and I really hope you can compiles your program and make more professional ones and thanks for watching my video. Remember my site is masterjake.co.nr and that will be in the video description and good luck creating your batch files. I’ll see you in the next video.
