Agent Smith: Hi, I am Agent Smith. Welcome to the AutoTech Installation Bay at Best Buy. A lots of us have MP3 players and whether you've got an iPod or something else, you probably want to listen to it while you're driving. Let's talk about some of the ways you can do that. So Alan, what can you tell me about MP3 players?
Alan: Oh there is a lot of them out there to choose from, most popular being the iPod, basic FM transmission, the iTrip that plugs into the bottom of it, like so and you tune your radio to 88.1 and then tune this in to 88.1 as well. And then it's transmitted wirelessly. One step above this guy is the one that will actually charge your iPod. By the way, you don't have to worry about to your iPod going dead, plugs in the bottom there and into the cigarette lighter. Same, dial this in to 88.1 in your radio. One cool thing that Best Buy does sell and install is bracket to actually mount your iPod. See, everything is controlled on the iPod, easy to reach, basically just like controlling your stereo.
Agent Smith: Awesome, that's good. Keep me a little bit safer and won't have the iPod like falling out of my feet and stepping on it.
Alan: Another cool thing that a lot of factory radios have and most after market radios have now is Auxiliary Input, which is the double sided head phone jack. So we plug this here, this gets plugged into any headphone jack. So, if you had any other device other than a iPod and put it that into the dash there at the end, your radio your wire go to your auxiliary input and you can control the volume that way. Another cool thing that Best Buy does sell with most stereos and can add it to some after market stereos as well is the actual iPod adaptor where you can actually control your iPod, on the factory radio or your after market radio. We would like to put the cable in the glove box, that way you just plug it in here and it chargers your iPod for here and then you don't have to see it again, because everything is controlled back on your radio again here.
Agent Smith: So that would even make it even safer than probably even than the mount, because then you don't have to look at the iPod at all. You can control through your built-in system. Wow, that's really cool. Thanks Alan.
Alan: You are welcome
Agent Smith: Hope this gets your MP3 player hooked into your car audio system. If you still need a little help, just call us 1-800-GEEKSQUAD or visit us any local Best Buy.
