Xwii is a way to use your remote to control your PC apps and to install it, all you’ve got do is click the link on the side and then after you install it, you have to open the terminal and type in—well first before you type in anything, make sure you have Bluetooth and it is connected to Bluetooth, and after that, just type in xwii and the—should ask you like what profiles you want. In this case, I’m going be using “Elisa” media center, so I’m going to choose seven. Push enter and then it’ll ask you to push the one, two buttons on your remote and you just do that—and it connects it, see? It’s connected; you can push some buttons to confirm it.
So it’s connected but does it control the apps that I want? The Elisa media center ? And see now, I click in on the logo and then it does load it in my remote and I can navigate with my remote, see? And click on that—Avatar, so yeah you can navigate with your remote, just fine with this program xwii.
I’m going to exit out of that and I’m going to show you guys—you can add like other programs, like your profiles. Your profiles are located at user, share, xwii and profiles. Basically what it is just a—telling you the xwii, what profiles of the apps and what the hotkeys are, like they say you know, you have your remote right? See “A” is return and then minus is “F”, F means—I think that’s a full screen and directional pad, and home is space so is with keyboard “S”.
So it’s pretty basic stuff, it’s not that hard to figure out what it does. You can edit this and just save it. That’s all you’ve got to do to setup your remote to control whatever you want, and you have to have Bluetooth that’s the thing for—to get your remote setup. You have this logo just like I said if you have Bluetooth, that’s all.
