How to Convert Ape files in Gnac
A few days ago, I was talking about an audio converter called the sound converter. That one was great but it only supports, I found, the major reformats. If you have something like an unknown one or you don’t have like the most known one I would probably not going to use that program.
So today, I’m going to talk about Gnac. It looks like this, so much the same with as the sound converter but when you click it and add in here, you can see that the supported format has increased. The new files are Ape files, .aac, .m4a, real audio files .ra, .mpc here I don’t know what that is one, and Windows media files or .wma’s. I know a lot of people still use this I don’t know why but I guess they still do. So if you have one of those formats, you could use this program to convert it to mp3s or flag or org.
For this instance, I’m just going to add in a flag file and we convert it to mp3s. So we have our flag file here and what you want to do is go to edit and we got to do some settings here. In this case, we’re going to put in the same source folder and we got to change to artists and titles so it can look sexy like this, close it off. That’s pretty much it. The differences are this has the conversion files in the front so you can choose it. For this instance, we’re just going to use our mp3s. When you click on edit here, it’s not that user friendly to change your settings like when you go to edit. You know you want to change your bit rate. You have to have changed this number to I guess ten or something. That’s the max but for this instance, I’m just going to leave it default, close and let’s begin converting.
Click on convert, it’s almost the same process. You see this progress far down here and see we have our flac file. Let’s convert it to mp3s and when it’s done, just in a few seconds. So it’s done and it’s over here. Now we want to listen to it. I’m just going to hover to over here.
So it works and that’s all you got to do. So if you have those other formats that’s not supported by sound converter, you can use whatever format that this one has and now it’s supported and now you can convert your shit and that’s all. That’s mainly of what this program is different from the other program is that it supports more shits. That’s all.
