DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I TRIED USING THIS ON A BRAND NEW ASUS PC WITH WINDOWS 7 AND NOTHING ELSE INSTALLED. KEPT GETTING "NO VIDEO SIGNAL". AT FIRST MY WEBCAM WAS THE ONLY THING THAT I COULD "CAPTURE". CHECKED FOR WINDOWS 7 UPDATE TO WEBCAM AND THAT PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED WHICH LEFT ME WITH "NO VIDEO SIGNAL". I THEN DOWNLOADED AVS VIDEO RECORDER AND DID GET A PICTURE BUT NO SOUND. AFTER RECEIVING THE WINDOWS UPDATE, THE PICTURE QUALITY ON AVS WAS SO DARK YOU COULDN'T SEE IT. UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED ROXIO BUT AFTER 10+ HOURS I GIVE UP. AFTER READING SEVERAL FORUMS WITH PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND MORE I AM HOPEFULLY GOING TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

The author makes this seem simpler than it ease. I used Roxio Creator Pro 11 to convert a neighbor's VHS tapes to DVD. The problem I ran into was that the Roxio software stops when the signal goes to zero rather than simply continuing to convert. As a result the tape conversion required constant monitoring (in my case for over 35 hours). Roxio even acknowledges the problem, however, they haven't fixed the potential problem. Also, the files created require special software for converting the iso files produced to DVD. Roxio does a lot of things right, but converting VHS to DVD, isn't included. I eventually oped for buying a VHS-DVD recorder that specialized in conversions. I then massaged the result using Roxio. As it turns out the files produced by the original VHS-DVD recorder unit can be saved an put on a DVD by the Movie Maker software included in Windows 7. I spent a lot on money for Creator 2010 Special Edition and Creator 2011 Pro. I'm not very pleased.

Hello I watched your video, but still have problem. My friend and I produce films by transferring our filming from the camera and record it in a VHS or SVHS, then we burn it on a DVD. However, every time I need to share this on the internet, I go to a studio to have them convert our video-clips and films into WMF or other files which enable to be seen and heard on the internet such as Youtube. This method is costing me a lot of money. Can you please suggest how to convert a video-clip on one of our burnt DVD from VHS to be able to up-load it and share with people on the internet. Thank you in advance!

Does the Roxio digitize the analog tape signal and install the digital signal on the p-c's hard drive? If so, can it then be edited with Adobe Premier Elements 7? How much is the Roxio? Ordering information?

Could you tell me if it is possible to edit the VHS tape while transferring it to a DVD? I am wanting to eliminate some of the recorded VHS in different areas? Thank you.
