Hello. Following up from my talk about using Kino in camcorder, I’m now going to show you how to the outputted file to a format that would be accepted by Youtube for the High Definition.
So, what you’ll do is use WinFF. So go to Applications, Sound Video, WinFF. Now I believe I’ve show you how to install WinFF in previous videos. Once you’ve opened WinFF, you need to drag your file over and I wonder it’s on recording. Okay, File, click Add, Desktop. Okay. Once it’s over, you need to convert it MP4. I’ll just zoom in here.
You need to put at H.264 in MP4. You have a choice here, 16:9 or 43. Well, for the Youtube, the standard of ratio is 16:9 and I’ve actually recorded in the camcorder 16:9 anyway.
You need to click on Additional Options, right click on this here and under Video Settings, set the video bit rate 41248; frame rate 25, video size 128x720 and the aspect ratio is 16:9. And that’s all you need to do and you click on ‘Convert’.
You’ll get this window here. Instead in the output folder, I’ve set mine to desktop. You can change those by right click on this area here. Three dots and maybe to whatever location it wants. Now this shouldn’t take too long.
I tried to use a program called Handbrake to do the same thing and for some reason it would not let me choose the picture size 1280x720. So I have no choice but to use WinFF which I found produce quite good results anyway.
Now of course it while it’s converting, this shouldn’t take too long. Well, it stopped converting now and it in the same presents. Continue.
So, what to do now is close all down and that’s the one there, MP4. The original file was 58.9 megabytes and the converted size is only 2.8 megabytes. That’s a heck of reduction isn’t there really? And all you need to do now is just upload that to YouTube and it should come out in High Definition and in full screen.
Okay. Thank you for watching.
