Hey there. Basically, I’m just going to show you guys how you can download your YouTube videos using a particular program called Orbit. Orbit is a free web program that basically allows you to do that and the credit goes to mobile phone 2003 for featuring this in one of his videos. So the most I’m going to show you there, you can play whatever it is that you had downloaded called SWF and FLV player.
Basically, when you download your YouTube videos it will be saved as FLV files. So you need a player for that. And for me, this particular freeware does the job. So that’s just from Altima software and I have also discuss this in the previous videos of mine called flash games. So you might want to check them out also. And we also have a converter here which I had been using for years. Unfortunately this isn’t for free but I guarantee your money won’t go to waste because Replay Converter, it’s a fine software I’m going to show you that player on. So anyway, let’s get started.
So first, activate Orbit. You activate orbit here, like so. So wait for it to appear on our system tray icon. And then we go to YouTube so I’m going to download the video called Gammorean Guards Rock On which is one of my videos. So I’m just going to open this and then right click our Orbit icon and hit Grab++ like so. So a hint will pop up, it says here, please refresh your current page in your web browser in order that we can grab the playing media for you. So hit OK. Do what it says, refresh your particular page and then open the window and it will automatically update its files. So you want to get this particular file which is called get_video.flv, so check that and then hit download. So the orbit window will pop up as well as this particular window. So we want to save it to our desktop for a quick access, like so. Hit OK. And we just wait for it to be downloaded.
Okay, I’ll just hit OK here, there you go. Sorry about that. So when your download is completed it will notify you like so and the download is completed. So I’m just going to close this, minimize this, I’m going to show you or download a video and go and just open it and it will be automatically be on my player here. So this is my SWF and FLV player. So we’re just going to close my play list. You can zoom this by the way if you want to, so hit zoom and you can hide the controls by hitting control H. So here is our video, it’s already downloaded and you can also zoom it if you want to. So that is SWF and FLV player. So we’re just going to close this to show you how to convert whatever it is that you had downloaded. So we’re going to open replay converter like so. There are other converters, players and other software you can use to download your videos. It’s just that I’m comfortable with this software and just want them—well, actually I just want to share them with you and you might like them as well. So this is replay converter and I’m going to add my file, so get video, open it, and then we’re going to convert our video, so check convert video option and then these are the target format that we have. So we have EVI, flash video, iPod video, mobile 3GP, MPEG4, PSP portable, WMV, so I’m just going to go with MPEG or MP4, so we’ll just start the conversion job. So I’m going to minimize this and wait for our conversion to be completed.
So our file is converted. Here we go. We’re going to play this. I’m going to play it with Quick Time Player, to show you that I had already converted my FLV file. I can save it to my cell phone if I want to, PSP, other gadgets that you have. So I’m just going to play it. And there you go, so you can basically convert it to any format you want. So those are the software that I want to share.
