You may have created a presentation in Open Office Impress but you actually need to convert it to PowerPoint, so you can work with it and PowerPoint or show it in PowerPoint maybe to work place or in some another location. So, it’s actually really easy to convert your Impress presentation to a PowerPoint presentation.
So, first of all, you want to open up the presentation, the Impress presentation that you want to convert, and then go to file and then save as and this is really simple. Down At the bottom where it says, save as type, and then just change this to your Microsoft PowerPoint option. And then you can choose another location to save it if you want, change the name if you’d like, and then click on save, and it’s going to give you this warning that says that it can have some formatting or some content that can’t actually convert well.
Go ahead and press Yes, and basically what that means is there might be a few little things that are different, so when you do open it up in PowerPoint you want to make sure all your pictures are there, everything is aligned right because sometimes things get a little messed up. For the most part it should really convert it pretty well your Impress presentation to your PowerPoint presentation.
