Cynthia Lair: I am going to show you, how to make Coconut Peanut Sauce, which is pretty popular thing. Coconut Peanut Sauce is which you dip spring rolls into; you can put it over new rolls, put it over grilled chicken, grilled shrimp that’s really good. And it so simple so when I start with some peanut butter, you could use creamy almond butter or creamy cashew butter any of those were just beautifully because then it wouldn’t be called Coconut Peanut Sauce. That’s okay.
And the peanut butter, I chose is organic peanut butter. This is great because total hopeful thing here the only ingredient in this is organic peanuts. Yeah.
Okay and then to that, I am going to add a little maple syrup there is always some sort of sweetener in peanut sauce, so it could be honey, brown sugar. But I chose maple syrup but I like the flavor that maple syrup adds there is some tamari, which is naturally brewed Soy sauce, let’s have 2 table spoons of that, there is a table spoon of brown rice vinegar almost any mild tasting vinegar would work. Some grated ginger root and some hot pepper sesame oil, which gives with little bit of heat and you could also put in some chilly or some hot chilly paste or some coriander something if it’s just there to give a little of a kick.
And then the base of the sauce is the coconut milk. Hence the name coconut peanuts sauce.
Male Speaker: What’s the address in the --
Cynthia Lair: And so I’m just going to put the peanut butter in the pan here. And basically this is not doesn’t have to be cooked, but by heating it up a little bit it. It mayonnaise the flavors nicely together and there where you can also control the consistency, so you can put little water in there, if its needed or.
Male Speaker: Workings classes like 15 minutes, I have taken.
Cynthia Lair: Are you going to taking. Here comes the maple syrup.
Male Speaker: You know with my heart.
Cynthia Lair: No, I don’t, I am going to get and, yeah and them I’m going to put little tamari in this is a naturally brewed Soy sauce and vinegar, just a table spoon, we don’t need that much, Thank you. And a little ginger root I only need teaspoon at this -- this is really, really gives the sauce syrup and I’m going to shake a little hot pepper sesame oil in there, about a tea spoon that will do, although if you want harder you can put more and the coconut milk and then I am just going to stir it, until its nice and evenly blended, okay go ahead.
Male speaker: What about the water?
Cynthia Lair: Just do that. I had done it, yeah.
Male Speaker: If this spatula melt.
Cynthia Lair: No.
Male Speaker: How can I get?
Cynthia Lair: I don’t know, if you know like 450 degrees.
Male Speaker: So I can stick this in a turkey and bake the turkey and pull it and I wouldn’t have – turkey
Cynthia Lair: Yes, I don’t know why your mind works like that think of sticking it in the turkey and so hot.
Male Speaker: Thank you very much.
Cynthia Lair: Okay, you know though this is, you know we should talk to her because she is getting just a little bit depending on it has to do all their.
Male Speaker: Mix up.
Cynthia Lair: Yeah, yeah.
Male Speaker: Thank you. See you later.
Cynthia Lair: Okay, as this looks great. And you know you can just, you can taken it up by heating just little bit longer.
Male Speaker: I’ve taken your car.
Cynthia Lair: Okay. This still need to be thin and dark but sometimes if you leave it on and stove little bit longer it’s so thicken enough and you need to add a little more water. So that’s done, it’s so easy. And then you’ll impress people with this. Okay, Let me just show you. Oh! Here we go this is good, so I just show you how it looks like in this little bowl here. Nice. Yummy.
