Female Speaker: I’m going to show you how to make Quinoa. Quinoa is spelt Quinoa, which would make you think that it was pronounced Quinoa, but it’s actually pronounced Keen-wah. And keen-wah is a really special grain you know it was a staple food of the incus (ph) in South America and then in the 1980 some guys boulder or are so destroyed; found it and started growing it here in the United States of America. And keen-wah has all A amino acids, which means it’s protein profile is higher. It’s also rich in calcium and iron, which is unusual for a grain and the best part -- the varied best part of all is that cooks in 15 minutes. So, all you need is keen-wah, water and salt. I’m going to put the keen-wah in the pan and then I’m going to put in one and three force cup of water. I would like to use last water with the keen-wah because it comes out more al dente and you can make a nice salad out of it that way. So keen-wah, water and salt; a half teaspoon.
Female Speaker 2: Hi, Jenny.
Female Speaker: What?
Female Speaker 2: Coming up with the genius idea or whether it’s reading. Okay, you are cooking show. Right?
Female Speaker: Yeah.
Female Speaker 2: Brown haired lady cooking in a show so--
Female Speaker: I’m going to bring it up to a boil now. Yeah.
Female Speaker 2: I was thinking I -- to do some music for your cooking show and it could like a musical cooking show.
Female Speaker: Yeah, that would be great.
Female Speaker 2: It would be like gong, gong, gong…. Making up of keen-wah gong, gong, gong, base and upright base, dum, dum, cling, cling, cling, making up some keen-wah.
Female Speaker: Honey, I think that’s great.
Female Speaker 2: Think about it.
Female Speaker: Yeah, what that’s you like or write some of that down and then I’ll just see to it later.
Female Speaker 2: Okay. Alright, you got it.
Female Speaker: Thanks Honey. You are not taking my car. Are you?
Female Speaker 2: --
Female Speaker: So, once it comes up to a boil, I’m going to put the lid on, turn it down to a simmer and it only takes 15 minutes that’s right, that’s cool.
Female Speaker 2: Keen-wah.
Female Speaker: So, let’s see if the keen-wah is done and tell if it’s done or not is to tip that pan up and check and make sure there is not a drop of water and there is not, it’s just perfectly done. I’m going to put a little bit in this bowl, so you can see what it looks like, so it’s kind of unusual looking great. You can use keen-wah for all sorts of things that makes a beautiful base grain on a plate and the stir-fries and things like that; you can also use it to make a great grain salad, which is one of my favorite things to do with it. You can just -- you can use keen-wah for anything, any place that you would use rice or bulgur or anything like that top stuffing. Yeah. Of course, you can use it to write a really good rock song.
