Speaker: There is an old Russian proverb that goes like this, love and eggs are best when they are fresh. You will find eggs in every single culture. As a matter of fact, in a lot of cultures they have incorporated the lovely egg into their philosophy.
In Turkey, for example, today's egg is better than tomorrow's hen. An old African proverb says, “when arguing with a stone, an egg is always wrong”. The lovely egg, the noble egg, no households would ever be without eggs.
It's really very simple to boil an egg, really. All you have to do is place the eggs in cold water. Put it on a stove to boil. As soon as this starts to boil, set your timer for four minutes. When it's finished, empty half of the water out, add cold water to make the difference. Let it sit for few seconds, maybe a minute and then the shells will come off there easily. There you have the perfect egg.
The egg, you see is extremely nutritious. In that one egg, you have protein, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Folate, Thiamine, Zinc, Iron and so forth and so forth and so forth. It's very healthy.
A touch of salt and pepper, and voila, a meal. Isn't that delicious?
