Sharon Jutten Schneider: My name is Sharon Jutten Schneider, I’m here today at
Saratoga Sweets in Halfmoon, New York where I have
worked for the last five years and over those five years I
have become the person that makes a lot of the basket
especially at Easter. And today I’ll be showing you how to
make an Easter basket.
On the hand we have several containers and we used
everything to make basket. We used a little purses like you
see here, hales, traditional baskets, we also have basket in
the nice new hot colors, orange, green, a lime green, bright
yellows and some of the things that I’ll be using today are
the geld for the basket to create the pad underneath the pre-
grass that we put on top. We also are going to need the
candy or gourmet food or stuff animals, this year will be
using some red cans which are the hot ticket for kids today
out there. Those are just some of the items we need at the
end we are going to use cellophane bags to wrap the basket
and decorate it with a little something we called ting
something to just bring out the entries level.
I really enjoy working at Saratoga Sweets, we are one of
the premiere chocolate here and confectionary stores in the
North East and people loved to come in and see our
decorations which are a mix of traditional and very
whimsical. And we decorate the cases, the ceiling, the
walls, the floors and people come from all over to visit us.
