Male Speaker: The old barbeque, barbeque in the rain here. Hello there! It's Charles welcome to the barbecue, we will be outdoors, in the rain, with the little twenty chop we get, we have a wine already, juice there for the defense military and for the -- now we're going to just make sure that the bird is dead. We've heard reports recently from the place we bought this that the birds have been trying to escape.
So here we go, let's check them out and make sure he's not dead. Oh! Look, he's trying to get away, oh! Oh! Get back, back in it, yeah, he's fine. Okay. Now, here we go. Thank you very much. And the winner is -- now we bought a young hen turkey this year. Because it is supposed to be more tender up -- however it's not a hen. It doesn't appear to be a hen. Here we go.
Now we're going to put the bird on the barbecue, up it appears, he's a little large, maybe we'll have to cut him in half, here we go. Medic, medic, I need a medic. 20 compressions, 1 breadth. I think it'll make, I think he's going to make it. Ooh! Such a good turkey! Well, the dancing Newport Dunes turkey's meat. Thank you Brooke! Here we are at the El Pollo Loco School of Barbecue. This is the way that the Pollo Loco folks typically prepare the meat before grilling it. Some kid just walked by and saw, he's never going to eat a Thanksgiving Turkey ever again in his life, I know what he was thinking. Here we go. I think, I'm going to need the hip replacement, this guy is definitely a candidate at this point, I'm not sure about the recovery though. Here we go, one leg, here we go, here we go, scrub those babies.
Female Speaker: Scrub away, scrub away, scrub away, scrub away with brand-new brush.
Male Speaker: Sanitize the hands, and of course, we're keeping the meat protected here, so there's no chance of any bacteria attaching itself to it. The charcoals are moving along nicely here, perfect! Our slave labor camp is busy cooking the potatoes or cleaning the potatoes.
Female Speaker: 2008?
Male Speaker: It's right. Perfect, that's perfect, right over there. Yeah, hold off on the wings. It's been about an hour, looking good. These are pretty cool, you can actually lift these puppies up, if you don't feel hot. It's been like an-hour-and-a-half that we're cooking here now. Get in here. I'm going to check up the wine and see if the wine is ready.
We're back again in the Newport Dunes and we're ready to check the turkeys, Barbecue, the coals went out a little bit early, it's now December 7th, it's been a while, we think this turkey is going to be okay. We've been cooking for long enough, it's always going to be no problem from undercooked, but it has been over two weeks, here we go.
It appears that the turkey has been completely crowed , the excessive heat for a long period of time, you just put a coating over the turkey parts, but give it a try. Come on in closer Louie, come here Louie, get a try to this. Louie is little red, hesitant, walking there. Here we go Louie, just sneak up on here, it's dead, we're not hunting the turkey now, we're just looking at the cooked, very nice! Let's check it out. The good news is, we did have a two-week wine supply with this. We haven't been eating any wine.
Here we go, that's it. We're just stuffing. Let's stuff that bird. Inside, here's the stuffing that we made earlier, we hold it up here, this is a -- eat your heart out buddy, here we go. There are mashed potatoes, not quite mashed, it's potatoes but they're not mashed, the local dressing. Microwave, here we go, happy microwaving, a metal plate on, in this oven we can, I think in this oven, we can put metal in here, let's find out, shall we? Stand back. There are no propping legs out. I think I better put this in a -- it is a combination of conviction and microwave, I don't know what the difference is, so I'm not going to learn it by being blown in the sky high.
Female Speaker: Oh! Stuffing, my favorite.
Male Speaker: Put that again.
Female Speaker: Stuffing, hot, look at these balls, they locked each other, perfect! Those are mashed potatoes, chunky, and a glass of wine, pickles, baby, cheers! Here, I've got some wine, cheers!
Male Speaker: Crack open that baby.
Female Speaker: Crack open.
Male Speaker: See what she says.
Female Speaker: Let's see. Look at this, bird. I want a bite.
Male Speaker: Tender, moist and smoky.
Female Speaker: It's moist, it looks dry, but it's moist, don't let this fool ya.
Male Speaker: Very good! Okay.
