Snoring isn’t just irritating and annoying, it's down like it's fully depriving. According to the Breathe Right Index Reports, 66% of Canadians say they are losing as much as three hours of sleep a night because of a snoring spouse. That equals 687 hours of loss sleep a year. Doctor Adam Moscovitch is a sleep specialist and says sleep deprivation from snoring is no laughing matter.
Dr. Adam Moscovitch: You have to appreciate that by the time the people get to see us is our frequently absolutely desperate. If we are talking in some cases about snoring it's 60 to 90 decibels that’s equivalent to a jack hammer breaking up your highways.
Next though to that kind of sound generator that is literally going whole nights like that, it can impacts individuals quality of life. It can make them tired, cranky much more prone arguments.
Sarah Vella: I know it's not his fault but it's really hard not to get annoyed and angry when he has been snoring all night. The next day I wake up for work feeling completely exhausted.
